He seeks to understand why in a country where he learnt women were to be respected and protected are girls experiencing such a hard time accessing education?

We will meet girls whose lives have been mapped out for them, whose opinions are considered unimportant and who are set to be married off from 14 years old.

Against all odds, some of these girls are stepping into positions of leadership, challenging the patriarchal thinking so engrained in society and paving the way for other girls to realise their full potential.

We were fortunate to meet and interview these amazing young women who are children of sex workers in the red light district. It was so inspiring to hear how education is giving them a whole new life not only breaking the cycle they were in but 'creating a new cycle by becoming role models for others.’

The girls at the school we were raising money for came out to greet us as we arrived after the 1800km tuktuk trip. The welcome was wonderful and touched our hearts. The girls are from very poor backgrounds and are beacons of hope for a country grappling with balancing tradition and progress.

The Road to Change is a story about overcoming deeply entrenched social, cultural and religious beliefs to help create a fairer world for women and girls.

This is a journey of adventure, danger, hope and transformation.
