We will meet girls whose lives have been mapped out for them, whose opinions are considered unimportant and who are set to be married off from 14 years old.

Against all odds, these girls are stepping into positions of leadership, challenging the patriarchal thinking so engrained in society and paving the way for other girls to realise their full potential.

We were fortunate to meet and interview these amazing young women who are children of sex workers in the red light district. It was so inspiring to hear how education is giving them a whole new life not only breaking the cycle they were in but 'creating a new cycle by becoming role models for others.’

The girls at the school we were raising money for came out to greet us as we arrived after the 1800km tuktuk trip. The welcome was wonderful and touched our hearts. The girls are from very poor backgrounds and are beacons of hope for a country grappling with balancing tradition and progress.

When Ravinol interviews a senior monk in the village he lived in 20 years ago, he is forced to confront the strong patriarchal attitudes that influenced him during that time in his twenties and consider how men can become allies to help create a more equitable world.
