The Institute of Fundraising (IOF) is the professional membership body for UK fundraising. Every year the Institute of Fundraising throw their biggest event of the year in London: The IOF National Convention. For the last four years we've been filming, live streaming and producing Convention TV at the event.
We were asked to capture content from across the 3 days and maximise the visual experience for delegates in the venue and for those who could not attend in person but were taking part online. Along with creating content that could be watched during the event, we worked strategically with the IOF in the planning stages to make sure we captured content that could be shared throughout the year as well.
We created two "3-minute Promo" videos showcasing highlights from each of the first two days of the convention which were then shown at the plenary sessions the following afternoon. In order to capture the footage for the highlights videos we had a roving camera team conducting interviews with speakers and delegates as well as getting shots of everything happening on the ground (including an accapello surprise!)
In addition we set up our very own 'Convention TV Studio' where we interviewed fundraising experts who were sharing their insights particularly around this years theme 'Best You Can Be'. These interviews will be released throughout the year to IOF members.
We also filmed the Awards Ceremony as well as live streaming all three plenary sessions enabling a much wider audience to tune in and take part. Our editing team was on hand throughout to transform the constant flow of content into a range of engaging videos for your fundraising viewing delight.
This year's National Convention was the best yet, it was completely sold out which meant the live streaming of the plenary sessions was a big hit! In addition the highlights videos were very well received with a round of applause from the 1200 assembled fundraisers. The IOF were also extremely pleased with the Best You Can Be video we created for them which they launched at the event. They also brought the findraisders featured in it up on stage to share their stories which was a really nice personal touch.
